Terms of service
Terms and Conditions of Purchase
Introduction
These terms and conditions apply to consumer purchases of goods online from A-Vet Shop. Consumer purchases are regulated by, among others, the Norwegian Contracts Act, the Consumer Purchases Act, the Marketing Control Act, the Right of Withdrawal Act, and the E-Commerce Act. These laws provide the consumer with non-waivable rights and are available at www.lovdata.no.
These terms do not limit the consumer's statutory rights but describe the primary rights and obligations of both parties.
These terms of sale are based on the Norwegian Consumer Authority's recommended standard terms. See guide here.
The Agreement
By completing a purchase, you accept these terms and conditions. The agreement is entered into between A-Vet Shop and you as a customer once the order has been confirmed. The terms and conditions may change and should therefore be read before each purchase.
The Parties
Seller: A-Vet Shop Organization Number: 924 876 492 MVA Address: Yttersøveien 2, 3274 Larvik, Norway Email: kundeservice@a-vetshoponline.no
Buyer: The buyer is the consumer who places the order.
Price
All prices are stated in NOK and include value-added tax (VAT). The total price, including shipping and any applicable fees, is displayed before payment at checkout.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, typographical errors, stock discrepancies, and price changes. Offers are valid while supplies last and within the specified time frame.
Discount codes apply only to regular-priced items and cannot be combined. A maximum of one discount code per order is allowed. Misuse may lead to order cancellation.
Products
Product images are illustrative and may differ from actual appearance. Size recommendations are for guidance only, and the customer is responsible for making the correct choice.
Conclusion of Agreement
The agreement is binding once the order has been submitted. However, the agreement is not binding in cases of manifest errors that the buyer understood or should have understood.
Payment
Available payment methods:
- Shopify Payments (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Klarna)
- Klarna Invoice (14-day payment term)
- Klarna Installments
- Vipps / MobilePay
- PayPal
When paying by card or Vipps, the amount is normally charged on the same or the next business day. Payment via Klarna is made directly to Klarna Bank AB (publ).
Delivery
Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on weight, volume, and delivery address via API-based price estimation.
Normal delivery time is 2–4 business days after dispatch.
Risk of Goods
The risk of the goods passes to the buyer once the goods have been delivered in accordance with the agreement. The seller holds the risk until delivery.
Right of Withdrawal and Returns
Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with the Right of Withdrawal Act. A-Vet Shop offers an extended return/exchange right of 21 days for unused items.
Return shipping is paid by the customer. Using our return label incurs a return fee of NOK 99. The right of withdrawal does not apply to opened food, dietary supplements, treats, or cat litter.
Inspection and Reduction in Value
The customer has the right to inspect the goods in the same way as they would in a physical store. If the product is used beyond this, a reduction in value may be charged.
Complaints
The deadline for filing a complaint is 2 years from receipt. Defects must be reported within a reasonable time. Manufacturing defects in toys are covered—normal wear and tear is not.
Uncollected Packages
Packages that are not collected will be charged an administrative fee of NOK 49, plus return shipping. Packages refused by the recipient are treated as uncollected.
Default by the Buyer
In case of non-payment, the seller may demand performance, cancellation, and damages in accordance with Chapter 9 of the Consumer Purchases Act. Claims may be sent to debt collection after prior notice.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
The agreement is regulated by Norwegian law. Disputes shall be resolved amicably. If this is not successful, the case may be brought before the Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) or the ordinary courts.
