Refund policy

Right of Withdrawal and Returns at A-Vet Shop

At A-Vet Shop, you have a 21-day exchange and return right on unused items. To exercise this, you must notify us within 21 days of receipt. If the deadline has expired, the item(s) may be returned to you at your expense for shipping.

Return Costs

  • Return shipping is paid by the customer.
  • Using our return label incurs a return fee of NOK 99.
  • The right of withdrawal applies only to consumers (not business customers).

Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Opened packages of food, treats, supplies, or cat litter.

Refunds for Returns

  • When cancelling the entire purchase, the value of the goods will be refunded within 14 days after we have received and processed the return.
  • You will receive an email once the return has been processed.
  • Paid by card: The amount is refunded to the same card.
  • Paid by invoice: Postpone the due date free of charge at www.klarna.no to avoid late payment fees.

Inspection of Goods

You have 21 days from receipt to check that you have received the correct item. The right of withdrawal entitles you to examine the product in the same way as in a physical store.

Please note that:

  • If the item is used beyond what is necessary to evaluate it, you may be charged for a reduction in value.
  • You do not lose your right of withdrawal if the item has been tested, but compensation for any loss in value may be claimed.

Return Responsibility

  • You must cover the return shipping costs.
  • The item must be returned with secure packaging.
  • Damages caused by careless return packaging may result in a reduced refund.
  • Return packages sent via Cash on Delivery (oppkrav) will not be collected.

Return Guidelines

Unused items

For a full refund, the item must be:

  • In the same condition as upon receipt.
  • In original packaging with all tags intact.
  • Free from odors, fur, or marks.

Note: If the original packaging is damaged (e.g., by taping), the item may be considered used.

Used items
  • When returning a used item, a value reduction assessment will be made.
  • Refunds are adjusted based on the item's condition.
  • Items without original packaging/tags or with odors/marks may be considered used and will not be fully refunded.

How to Exchange an Item

  1. Order a new item in the online store.
  2. Fill out the return form and note the new order number.
  3. Pack the item securely and enclose the return form.
  4. Deliver the package to Posten Norge. (Cannot be sent via PostNord or left in a mailbox.)
