Proper protection of wounds, stitches or other (skin) problems on the ears and/or head is essential for a quick and successful healing. The classic collar – often called the “cone of shame” – often hinders the dog’s movement, blocks the dog’s field of vision and causes the dog to bump into furniture.
The MPS-Head Cover® is an excellent alternative. It covers and protects the head and ears – while allowing the dog to maintain its natural mobility.

Dogs often shake their heads and flap their ears when they have ear problems such as infections, bacteria or allergies – to relieve itching and irritation. This can cause blood vessels in the ear to burst and a collection of blood forms in the ear flap, known as an aural hematoma . An untreated hematoma can cause permanent damage.

Proper wound care and protection are essential to prevent infections and promote faster healing.
The MPS-Head Cover® prevents the dog from scratching the wound, while also protecting the wound area from bacteria and dirt.
In addition, the MPS-Head Cover® covers and protects ointments applied to the ears or head. You can also place your dog's ears in the specially designed inner pockets to prevent the ointment from sticking to the fur.

Grass awns – also known as awns or foxtails – are the pointed seeds of certain grass species. They have sharp tips that can easily get caught in the fur or penetrate your dog’s ears, eyes or nostrils. When foxtails get lodged in the ear canal, they can cause painful ear infections.
The MPS-Head Cover® protects and covers your dog's ears. Thanks to the adjustable fastening straps, elastic cord and snaps, the cover sits securely in place - thus significantly reducing the risk of blades of grass getting into the ears.

Many dogs find the hair dryer at the groomer uncomfortable or frightening. The hot air around the head can feel uncomfortable, and hair dryers often make a lot of noise.
The MPS-Head Cover® can be a useful aid to make your visit to the hairdresser more comfortable. The ears are held in place, and the dog is less bothered by both the noise and the air pressure around the head and ears during drying.
