It might be natural to think that a dog's fur provides enough warmth and protection, but dogs can also freeze. Dog clothes are therefore a smart accessory that helps to make the walk enjoyable and safe, even in cold weather. For dogs that have lost their fur, or have recently been shaved or clipped, dog clothes are useful for keeping warm. In addition, there are several dog breeds that have little fur and undercoat, and that basically do not have a physique adapted to the Nordic climate. Then a garment that helps to insulate can come in handy!

Be aware that your dog may find it a bit strange to walk in socks at first. We therefore recommend allowing some time for getting used to them before you set out on a long walk.

Puppies also need clothes for different uses. That said, puppies grow quickly and it is not certain that the clothes will fit for that long at a time. This will vary from breed to breed, and some grow faster than others. However, it may be a good idea to keep this in mind when shopping for your little one. Make sure your puppy has the most necessary things, and then you can supplement with more garments as they grow!

Dog clothes do not come in standard sizes, and to find the right size, you use tables with centimeter measurements. The easiest way to ensure that the clothes both fit and are comfortable for your pooch is to measure.

Start by measuring the length of the back, from the nape of the neck to the base of the tail. You can also measure the circumference of the neck and stomach to ensure a perfect fit. The circumference of the neck is measured at the widest point, while the circumference of the stomach is measured just behind the ribs.
